We can start balguti regularly after baby completes 6 months age, prior to it we can give as specified above for minor illnesses, we just need to give it with breast milk. (Note: No syrup pls because it contains honey.) When you make your own balguti there is usually no issues of contamination, since you have to ensure that you use clean, sealed herbs for each dose. Method : Follow the traditional method 1.BALGUTI at home by using (sahan) rubbing sandstone. Rub the herbs on stone in turns using breast milk as lubricant. Dosage: * For baby below 6 months give paste of badam and kharik only dosage is very low, only one dose per herb. As baby grows you can increase dose one by one .Each herb works specially so give it accordingly to age and illness (Dosage = 1/2 tea spoon) Even we should monitor what we eat as our babies will get what kind of nutrients from it, in proportional to our body if we know what food we eat body will function in a healthy manner. Over thinking like if I give this to my baby will vomite, dysentery, constipation ,etc. Pls don't ever think this before feeding it to your baby, just make your mind and give it to the baby. Trust the Ayurveda! Think that my baby is strong enough to digest all that is given by love. Every mom is curious and skeptical in this 21st century when its related to feeding, food to be given and this increases as Moms see change month over month in her child development. " FEED YOUR BABY A POSITIVE SPOON OF WHATEVER YOU GIVE (With love)." For safety: 1.Dry your herbs after you have used them, before storing them again in sealed, dry still or glass container. 2. Sun dry your herbs frequently to prevent fungal residue. 3.Wash your herbs and stone(sahan) before and after use. Balguti side effect : *Using too much amount of badam & kharik in your daily guti, to make your baby chubbier can backfire. This excessive doses can be hard to digest.
